Joining and Departure Procedures

PPR essential - Please contact Lynn on 07815 799639 or Don 07971 278984.

For any other airfield or club information please contact Mike Gregory 07474242245 Runways are grass and are 08 / 26

The airfield uses SAFETYCOM on 135.480 MHz and please make blind calls.

Join with a standard overhead join at 2,000 feet - All circuits are left hand and at 1,000 feet QFE - Airfield elevation is 675 feet AMSL. If approaching on runway 26 PLEASE avoid very low or fast approaches over the bungalows close to the airfield border. When on the downwind leg for 26 do not overfly the recycling centre and turns are not to be made before passing the reservoir and wind turbines when departing from runway 08.

Belle Vue is a busy working farm and may have occasional fences along the runway as shown in red on the diagram below.

THERE IS A VERY HIGH TV MAST NEXT TO THE FIELD (538 feet AGL), SO PLEASE PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THAT WHEN ARRIVING OR DEPARTING

CROSS WINDS

Just for information, Belle Vue only has one runway and crosswinds are common, particularly from the north.  Therefore, it is recommended that you check the local weather forecast for Belle Vue during your planning and check the windsock when in the overhead (note, we do not have a signal square).

As we are very near to the coast you can also expect sea breezes on summer afternoons.
